Donald Trump's Presidency ~ How will it affect us Muslims?

$

45th US President-Elect Donald J.Trump
Well, for one thing, it brings to my mind the American Muslim Girl’s fears after her post-wisdom tooth dental surgery’s trauma that Donald Trump @ the leader of the rednecks is going to kick her out of the USA and her dad’s reassuring her that no such thing is gonna happen!
Muslims in America are subject to rising cases of attacks against them due to Islamophobia. Many less informed and ignorant Americans unfortunately swallow hook, line and sinker whatever their equally ignorant and biased media channels show them!

Hateful content portraying Muslims as the new evil that they must fight and get rid of! Like what they were shown about the WW2 communist Russians and Japanese to be their mortal enemies!
After the Americans defeated Nazi Germany and Japan in WW2, they came to view Islam and the Muslims as their new enemies and we cant totally blame them for thinking in such a way because there are certain groups of so called Muslims who ‘foam at the mouth and get into hysterics wanting to destroy America! as if that’s what our faith tells us to do! Just go to You Tube and watch this Anti-American Protest. It will give you an idea of what I mean?
You don’t need to go far looking for such evidences because there are lots of videos in You Tube showing the crowds of deranged ‘Muslims’ burning the American flag and going berserk at every Anti-American rally and protest!

Protests that some political group or instigating politician stirs up every now and then to advance his cause and gain some political mileage for himself whilst turning the ignorant masses as his proverbial sacrificial goats!
Anti-American Protests
Instead of practicing true Islamic teachings, the majority of our fellow Muslims are sadly prone to just be those who are ‘Muslim’ in name only. How many of us are well versed with what Islam really is? Try asking your fellow Muslim around you to explain what Islam is and chances are that the average ‘Muslim’ will try to give an excuse that he or she is not a scholar and can’t.
Even amongst the so called scholars of Islam exists so many different ’schools of thought’ brought about by their insistence that their’s is the only true form of Islam and others are deviant!

The irony is that our beloved Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam came and taught us only One Creed @ Aqeedah but today you see so many forms and practices of Islam’.
So, when we are prone to fighting and quarreling amongst even ourselves, how can we expect people like Donald Trump and his supporters to know who we really are and realize why they came to this Anti-Islam and Anti-Muslim standpoint.
It’s all due to the fact that ignorance breeds foolhardiness and in today’s challenging and confusing times many are easily duped into thinking that he or she is right and all others are so damn wrong and ought to be destroyed!

What a shame for even the one who is raging to destroy others will in the next second, minute, hour, day or week, month, year also cease to exist!
In these End Times, as Muslims must be steadfast in our faith. We must clearly know more about what we profess and strive to be as good a Muslim that we can be by practicing what we preach. We need to be street smart and know how best to go about safely when we are in areas where such Islamophobes are living.
Do not take for granted that you will be protected by the law enforcement authorities.
Gujarati Muslims learnt the hard way for many Hindu policemen themselves massacred them.
The Prophet foretold this sad situation of his Ummah in these Akhirul Zaman for we will be as large in numbers as the froth at the end of the ocean waves but powerless because we are in disarray. No unity. Constantly bickering and argumentative.
My advice ~ Be true Muslims. Not just a facade of what we imagine or pretend to be. May Allah guide us all. Ameen.

Mairah Teli, American Muslim Dacula High School teacher gets Trump influenced hate mail!

I'm a high school teacher and sadly this anonymous note was put in my classroom today. As a Muslim, I wear a headscarf as a practice of my faith. I want to share this to raise awareness about the reality and climate of our community. Spreading hate isn't going to "make America great again."Mairah Teli.

A large majority of uninformed Americans started going crazy against Muslims when the World Trade Centre twin towers in New York City went down on the 11th of September, 2001 as a result of a deliberate planned sabotage that many experts from the USA today concluded was the result of an inside job but pinned the blame on terrorists who were claimed to belong to Osama bin Laden's Al-Qaeda organisation!

9-11 was an INSIDE JOB! Read and learn about the Truth here!

The 43rd President of the United States of America, George W.Bush laid the blame on 'Muslims whom he claimed were based in Afghanistan, a very poor, 3rd world mountainous and parched desert country and on pretext launched a 'retaliatory' war against Afghanistan and also broadened his assault to cover Iraq!

He teamed up with Tony Blair, the British Prime Minister back then and drew up other EU countries to form a coalition of armed forces against those unsuspecting countries!

Desert Storm was the name that Bush and his coalition partners gave to their offensive and carpet bombed both Iraq and Afghanistan back to the 'Stone Age'!

They hunted down Saddam Hussein, bombed his palaces, stole Saddam's wealth and gold, hanged him to death and practically got away with massacre of hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi and Afghanistan's civilians and proudly declared Mission Accomplished to his gullible fellow Americans.

'American media channels brainwashed the American public with inciting messages portraying Muslims as enemies of America further fueling the hate against anything and anyone who is a Muslim and egged on by vile people such as Donald J.Trump who campaigned viciously against Muslims in his 2016 Presidential bid!

As a result, ignorant Americans such as the Dacula High School, Dacula, Georgia student who penned such a hate-filled message to Mrs.Mairah Teli!

* The Dacula High School's website is inaccessible at the moment! :P

To start with, the whole world knows that when tested for their level of intellect or general knowledge, the average American on the street has quite often been found to be not that bright!

Some do not even possess info about their own country or even history! What more about other people, other countries or religions!

Let's watch :

So, to Mrs. Mairah Teli, I would like to tell you Madam, that you are not to feel sad that some numb skull idiot out there does not know what crap he is talking about! There are hundreds of millions of similar idiots all over the US of A!

You must lodge a police report against the culprit as a safety measure and take extra precautions to safeguard yourself against these hate crimes. Would also be good for you to seek a transfer to a safer school.

Thanks to your next President, the notorious Donald Jackass Trump!

May he wake up from his delusions soon and realize the harm that his vile words have upon the clueless and ignorant masses that America seems to be stock-full of nowadays!

BERSIH / MERAH ~ Our nation is full of Yellow and Red T-shirted numbskulls!

Whether you call yourselves BERSIH or MERAH activists, it makes no difference to us! Najib Razak is not gonna hightail it from his plush Prime Minister's Office in Putrajaya because of your antics!

Our nation is already suffering from mismanagement and high inflation and low exchange rates but the likes of Maria Chin, Ambiga Sreenevasan, Tun Dr.Mahathir Mohamad and the Red Shirts leader Jamal fellow are starting to be quite a troublesome bunch!

I hope the FRU go all out to shoot their water cannons at all these troublemakers who serve no damn purpose except to cause a mess at our city centers and jam up the roads inconveniencing us city folks!

Not a nostril hair of Najib is gonna fall out because of these yellow and red shirted clowns!

If Najib is the stepping down type like Abdullah Badawi or even Mahathir for the matter, then your protests and shenanigans might be worthwhile but this fellow is more stubborn than a Baghdadi jackass!

He couldn't be bothered and won't give a rats ass to all your protests!

Najib would rather sing karaoke with Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte than bother about all these protests as seen above!

Give us a break and go find something worthwhile to do and don't be fools! You have gone el loco so many times before and messed up KL's city streets with your demonstrations.

Rubbish left from the last BERSIH rally! Has any good come out from it?

The only thing certain is that KL city streets will be left quite messy with all kinds of rubbish and quite a number of BERSIH and MERAH tee shirt manufacturers laughing all their way to the banks!

Malaysians sure know how to waste their precious time, money and efforts for futile causes!

Believe it or not, the only way that Najib Razak will no longer be the PM of Malaysia before 2018 is when and if the Malaikatul Maut @ Angel of Death is to pay him a visit!

Till then, we are stuck with the bugger, ol' Ah Jib Gor!

Staying Apolitical in Malaysia ~ Can we afford to do so pending the 14th GE in 2018?

Whether we like it or not, politics does affect us no matter that we tend to be apolitical and wish to remain free from it's many scandals and repercussions.

Take for example, how our country Malaysia has come to be? When I was born in 1958, Malaya had just achieved independence from the British Colonials in the year before.

Typical Attap Roofed Kampong House
Life in the Malay kampong @ village was largely quite simple and we were relatively just a poor family living in a rented attap roofed wooden house. Sharing a common bathroom with 4 other families.

Life was much more simpler as being kampong folks, we didn't aspire for much. Just like the classic Hindi 'Roti Kapada Aur Makaan' movie's title, we were quite contented having food, clothing's and a home. Be it just a simple shared wooden house with attap roofing.

Simple meal like this
We would be counting our blessings if we had just rice, fish and some veggies. No fancy-mancy meals for us. We survived the turbulent times back then in the 60's and 70's.

By the 80's I had already left school and went to work in Singapore. Our Malaysian Ringgit then was RM1.40 to 1 Singapore Dollar.

We might have been an agriculture based economy back then but we were acknowledged as an up and coming country.

Our country''s politics was vibrant but not that scandalous. Until the emergence of our 4th and most illustrious Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad.

Tun Dato Seri Dr.Mahathir Mohamad
He was a no-nonsense type of leader and ruled decisively transforming Malaysia from a 3rd world agricultural country into an industrial nation. We were quite a dynamic developing nation during his rule and our country was known as amongst the region's most progressive nation.

As in other growing countries, there came into being a struggle for power amongst the top leaders of the Barisan Nasional spearheaded by the rising politician, Anwar Ibrahim, Mahathir's handpicked protege who skyrocketed up UMNO's political leader brushing aside party stalwarts like the unassuming Ghafar Baba, the Kelantan prince Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah and others like Abdullah Badawi.

Mahathir had his former Deputy Prime Minister Musa Hitam quit after not agreeing to Mahathir's electing his rival Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah as the Minister for Trade and Industry.

Not to say that before the times of Mahathir, there was no discord amongst the founding fathers of this nation. Tunku Abdul Rahman with his lackadaisical mannerisms had already sacked Mahathir from being an UMNO member after the latter had penned a scathing letter where Mahathir lambasted Tunku for his penchant to give face to the Chinese by overruling the death sentences that were passed on 11 Chinese subversives.

Mahathir had further accused Tunku of giving in to the demands of the Chinese emboldening them to disrespect Tunku and the Malays. Tunku's giving in to the Chinese had also made them to daringly reject the Alliance and regard Tunku as a coward and pushover.

Mahathir also disclosed that the Malays hated Tunku and despised him for Tunku's fondness to play poker with his Chinese associates and misusing Government assets such as patrol cars and police escorts in such pursuits to gamble with the Chinese.

Mahathir had also penned that members of PAS and the majority of the Malays now hated Tunku and no longer trusted him to champion their interests.

Naturally Tunku took offense to such a strongly worded letter criticizing him and caused Tunku to sack and remove Mahathir from UMNO. Mahathir would have remained in the political wilderness if not for the kindness and mercy of Tun Abdul Razak who accepted Mahathir back into the folds of UMNO and eventually got elected as the Deputy Prime Minister when Tun Hussein Onn became the PM after Tun Razak's death.

This is why Mahathir felt indebted towards the help of Tun Razak in getting Mahathir back into the ruling party and when he became the Prime Minister taking over from Tun Hussein in 1981 had in a way looked out for Najib Tun Razak, the son of Tun Razak, his mentor.

When Mahathir sacked Anwar Ibrahim for the latter's said abuse of power and sodomy related offenses, he had no choice but to appoint Abdullah Badawi as his Deputy.

When Mahathir resigned as the PM in 2003, he appointed Abdullah as his successor and Najib rose to become the new Deputy Prime Minister. When Abdullah Badaw failed miserably in retaining power over many states in the Malay Peninsular, Mahathir started sniping at Abdullah's heels and the flabbergasted Pak Lah threw in the towel and handed over the most powerful seat to Najib Tun Razak!

Little did they know that this 'puss in boots' would turn out to be the 'Master Jedi' that he is today and get embroiled in the 'Mother of all Scandals namely the RM2.6 Billion 'Big Daddy of all Donations into his personal bank account and the still unsolved mismanagement of the 1MDB funds!

Malaysian economy is practically draining into the financial gutter and our currency is at it's weakest rate against the major currencies of the world. At one time the Malaysian Ringgit was even shunned by the money changers and Forex traders of Thailand and Indonesia due to it's constant slip and sliding against the US Dollar and other stronger currencies.

PM Najib Razak's indifference to all the critics of his maladministration and couldn't care less attitude topped by his spendthrift luxury loving spouse further rubs the proverbial salt to the wounds being suffered by the people of Malaysia and his government's removal of many subsidies of daily necessities such as fuel and other consumer goods and utilities plus the 6% GST put n most consumer goods and services drives Malaysians nuts!

As a result, there have been numerous public protests against Najib's government and demands for his resignation.

Najib has sacked the AG, replaced him with Najib's selected Yes Man, placed his proxy as the Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat in Parliament and another as his IGP where all these fellows sort of shield against any attempts to overthrow him till the next GE n 2018.

He has also sacked Muhyiddin Yassin, his Deputy who eventually dared to question him about the RM2.6 Billion, Mukhriz Mahathir as the Kedah Menteri Besar for siding with Muhyiddin, Shafie Apdal from being the Minister for Rural Development for aligning with the two and many others as well.

Whenever any Member of Parliament tries to raise any of such scandals to be debated in the parliamentary sessions, the Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat promptly squashes any such attempts instantly!
It is only Tun Dr. Mahathir who still has some bite left in him to cause some discomfort to PM Najib Razak. The rest are like toothless grandpas who can hardly make a dent in Najib's thick skin!

it is in this climate of political uncertainty that the average Malaysian citizen tends to go apolitical. Not wanting to support either sides.

The question is can we afford to do so and risk our future with what Time throws at us?

Myanmar's Massacring Rohingyas but ASEAN plays Deaf, Dumb and Blind to it!

ASEAN ~ Association of South East Asian Nations. On their website, paint a rosy picture f stable, developing nations all united to champion a better future for all the people who are part of this region.

In reality, they are exactly the opposite. They have no actual power or decisive force to deal with any crisis or disaster that takes place in any of their member countries.

Myanmar is currently massacring hundreds of thousands of it's own civilians who are Rohingya Muslims who are being killed, raped and mutilated at will by Myanmar's Army and Police forces!

All these ASEAN leaders are equally GUILTY OF ALLOWING THE MASSACRE OF ROHINGYA MUSLIMS to go on by joining hands with the Butcher from Myanmar!

All these helpless people are being butchered by the Burmese mass murderers, rapists and sadist Buddhist monks and their rampaging army but our PM was busy singing karaoke at Sri Perdana wth the visiting Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte!

This is the reality of our times. When corrupt leaders enjoy themselves whilst the people living in the ASEAN region are being massacred by the Myanmar regime!

Rohingya Muslims are being massacred! Does no one care?

The Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam foretold of this situation in the End Times (now) were there will be much bloodshed!
The Last Hour will not come unless there is much bloodshed.227
Near the establishment of the Hour there will be much Al-Harj, and Al-Harj means killing…228
The day of Judgment will not come until people openly deny Allah.229
Great cities will be ruined, and it will be as if they had not existed the day before.230
Gains will be shared out only among the rich, with no benefit to the poor.231
People will indulge in homosexuality and lesbianism.232
There will be prevalence of open illegal intercourse.233
The Hour (Last Day) will not be established until murders will increase.234

Today we are witnessing the senseless killings of Rohingya Muslims of the Arakan State in Myanmar (Burma) where the Myanmar Army and Buddhist Monks led rampaging hordes massacre the helpless Rohingya Muslims without mercy!
The Rohingyas homes are bombed and burnt down by the Myanmar Army and Police.
Rampaging Buddhist mobs are killing the unarmed Rohingyas as they please and Rohingya women are gang raped and then killed by these murderous Buddhists!

All these atrocities are taking place right now before our very eyes yet the world’s so called authorities are not doing anything to save them! ASEAN does not bother to even warn the Myanmar government to stop these killings and ethnic cleansing of the Rohngyas.

Malaysia needs to expel the Myanmar representatives from remaining here as they blatantly ignore all calls to show mercy to the plight of the suffering Rohingya Muslims.

Myanmar must be stopped! The world needs to teach Yangon a lesson! The UN needs to move in and stop the bloodshed. Failing which then it should just disband. Just the same with ASEAN. Another useless body.
Not forgetting the OIC. Another bunch of losers. No spine in them. Just as what the Prophet said. That in the End Times his ummah will be as many as the froth upon the ocean waves. Weak and disunited. Powerless.

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim
Dengan nama Allah, Maha Pengasih, Maha Penyayang.

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.
Saudara, Saudari, Ikhwanul Muslimin na wal Muslimat sekelian.

Tak ada 'under the table' punya sembang mambang!

Kenapa?

Ada pelbagai alasan, barangkali? Antaranya:
  • Masih muda
  • Belum faham
  • Letih dan penat
  • Sibuk
  • Biarlah orang lain saja
Ingat senang kah untuk senang?

Susah brader. Jiwa gua masih rock sey!

Keluar denagn Jamaat Tabligh. Cari Ustaz.

Jama'at Tabligh
Hehehehe.

Bukan apa brader. Gua takut lu tak sempat je. Tahu tahu lu punya time' sudah up syeh! Itu 'time' memang useless bro. :P

Wajib! Bukan Sunnah atau Harus!
Dakwah Walkabout saya bersama rakan2 saya dari IPCI Penang dulu
Kenapa saya berkata begitu?

The Truth about Barnabas, Disciple of Jesus, which the Christian Church hides!

$

Barnabas was a Jew born in Cyrus. He was a Levite and his real name was Joseph, and due to his devotion to the cause of Jesus, the other apostles had given him the surname of Barnabas; this term is variously translated as "Son of Consolation" or "Son of Exhortation".

He was a successful preacher with a magnetic personality. Any one tormented by the clash of creeds found solace and peace in his company.

His eminence as a man who had been close to Jesus had made him a prominent member of the small group of disciples in Jerusalem who had gathered together after the disappearance of Jesus. They observed the Law of the Prophets, which Jesus had come, "not to destroy but, to fulfil" (Matthew 5:17).
1500 years old Gospel of Barnabas
They continued to live as Jews and practiced what Jesus had taught them. That Christianity could ever be regarded as a new religion did not occur to any of them. They were devout and practicing Jews distinguished from their neighbors only by their faith in the message of Jesus.

In the beginning they did not organize themselves as a separate sect and did not have a synagogue of their own. There was nothing in the message of Jesus, as understood by them, to necessitate a break with Judaism.

However, they incurred the enmity of the vested interests among the Jewish higher echelon. The conflict between the Jews and the followers of Jesus was started by the Jews because they felt that the Christians would undermine their authority.

ACTS 12: 25
"And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, when they had fulfilled their ministry, and took with them John, whose surname was Mark."

ACTS 13: 1 and 2
"Now there was in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers, as Barnabas, and Simeon, that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

"As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said: Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

ACTS 14:11 to 15
"And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia. The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.

"And they called Barnabas Jupiter, and Paul Mercurius.

"Then the priest of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the people.

"Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out.

"And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are thereon."

The gulf progressively began to widen. During the siege of Jerusalem in 70 A.D., the Christians left the city; and refused to take part in the Bar Coachaba rebellion in 132 A.D. These two events brought to the surface the difference between the Christians and the Jews.

The question of the origin of Jesus, his nature and relation to God, which later became so important, was not raised among these early disciples. That Jesus was a man super-naturally endowed by God was accepted without question.

Almighty Allah reveals in Surah Al-Imran Chapter 3 Verse 59:

Nothing in the words of Jesus or the events in his life led them to modify this view. According to Aristides, one of the earliest apologists, the worship of the early Christians was more purely monotheistic even than of the Jews.

With the conversion of Paul, a new period opened in Christian Theology. Paul's theology was based on his personal experience interpreted in the light of contemporary Greek thought.

The Theory of Redemption was the child of his brain, a belief entirely unknown to the disciples of Jesus. Paul's theory involved the deification of Jesus.

The Pauline period in the history of the Christian Church saw a change of scene and principles. In place of the disciples, who had sat at the feet of Jesus, a new figure, who had not known Jesus, had come to the forefront.

In place of Palestine, the Roman Empire became the scene of Christian activity. Instead of being a mere sect of Judaism, Christianity not only became independent of Judaism but also became independent of Jesus himself.

Paul was a Jewish inhabitant of Tarsus. He had spent a long time in Rome and was a Roman citizen. He realized the strong hold which the Roman religion had on the masses. The intellectuals were under the influence of Plato and Aristotle.

Paul seems to have felt that it would not be possible to convert the masses in the Roman Empire without making mutual adjustments. But his practical wisdom was not acceptable to those who had seen and heard Jesus. However, in spite of their difference, they decided to work together for the common cause.

As recorded in the Acts, Barnabas represented those who had become personal disciples of Jesus, and Paul co-operated with them for some time. But finally they fell out.

Paul wanted to give up the Commandments given through Moses about things to eat; he wanted to give up the Commandment given through Abraham regarding circumcision.

Barnabas and the other personal disciples disagreed.

The following sentences in the Acts give a hint of the rift:

"And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, "Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved."

"When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputations with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question" (Acts 14:1 and 2).

After this rift, there was a parting of the ways. In the Acts, Barnabas disappears after the rift, because the recording of the Acts of the Apostles was done by the followers of Paul.

Because of Paul's compromise with Roman beliefs and legends, Pauline Christians grew in number and grew in strength. A stage was later reached when kings were used as pawns to further the ends of the Church.

The followers of Barnabas never developed a central organization. Yet due to the devotion of their leaders their number increased very fast.

These Christians incurred the wrath of the Church and systematic effort was made to destroy them and to obliterate all traces of their existence including books and churches.

The lesson of history, however, is that it is very difficult to destroy faith by force. Their lack of organization became a source of strength because it was not so easy to pick them up one by one.

Modern research has brought to light odd facts about these Christians. They are like the crests of waves and looking at them one can visualize a whole body of ocean not yet visible.

We notice that up to the 4th century A.D. there existed a sect known as Hypsistarians who refused to worship God as Father. They revered Him as an All Mighty Ruler of the world. He was the Highest of all and no one was equal to Him.

Paul of Samosata was a Bishop of Antioch. He was of the view that Christ was not God but a man and a prophet. He differed only in degree from prophets who came before him and that God could not have become man substantially.

Then we come across another Bishop of Antioch viz Lucian. As a Bishop his reputation for sanctity was not less than his fame as a scholar. He came down strongly against the belief of Trinity. He deleted all mention of Trinity from the Bible as he believed it to be a later interpolation not found in the earlier Gospels. He was martyred in 312 A.D.

Next we come to the famous disciple of Lucian viz Arius (250-336 A.D.) He was a Libyan by birth. Peter Bishop of Alexandria ordained him a Deacon but later excommunicated him. Achilles the successor of Peter again ordained Arius as priest.

Alexander the next Bishop of Alexandria once again excommunicated him. Arius however had gathered such a large following that he became a headache for the Church.

If kept out of Church he could be a great danger to her but he could not be accommodated within the Church as he wanted to establish the unity and simplicity of the Eternal God. He believed that how so ever much Christ may surpass other created beings he himself was not of the same substance as God. He was a human being just as any other man.

The teaching of Arius spread like wild fire and shook the very foundation of the Pauline Church.

The controversy that was simmering for three hundred years suddenly became a conflagration. No man dared to oppose the organized Church but Arius did, and remained a headache for her whether he was ordained a priest or was excommunicated. During this time two events changed the history of Europe.

Emperor Constantine brought a greater part of Europe under his rule and secondly he began to support the Christians without accepting Christianity. To the soldier prince the different creeds within the Christian faith were very confusing.

In the Imperial Palace itself the controversy was raging not less fiercely. It appears that perhaps the Queen Mother was inclined towards Pauline Christianity while his sister Princess Constantina was a disciple of Arius.

The Emperor was wavering between the two faiths. As an administrator he was interested only in uniting all the Christians within one Church.

It was at this time that the conflict between Arius and Bishop Alexander became so widespread and so violent that it became a law and order problem. So the Emperor anxious to maintain peace in the newly unified Europe had to intervene.

In 325 A.D. a meeting of all denominations of Christianity was called at Nicea (Now Isnik, a village). Bishop Alexander was not able to attend the conference and he deputed his lieutenant Athanasius, who subsequently succeeded Alexander as Bishop of Alexandria.

The conference had many prolonged sessions. Emperor Constantine could not grasp the full implications of the ecclesiastical confrontation, but he was very clear in his mind that for maintaining peace in his realm the support and cooperation of the Church was necessary.

Accordingly he threw his weight behind Athanasius and banished Arius from the realm.

Thus the belief of Trinity became the official religion of the empire. Fearful massacre of Christians who did not believe in Trinity followed.

It became a penal offense to possess a Bible not authorized by the Church and according to some estimates as many as 270 different versions of the Bible were burnt.

Princess Constantina was not happy at the turn of events. The Emperor ultimately was persuaded to accept the faith of the men he killed. The result was that Arius was called back in 346.

The day Arius was scheduled to visit the Cathedral of Constantinople in triumph, he died suddenly.

The Church called it a miracle. The Emperor knew it was a murder. He banished Athanasius and two other Bishops.

The Emperor then formally accepted Christianity and was baptized by an Arian Bishop. Thus Monotheism became the official religion. Constantine died in 337.

The next Emperor Constantius also accepted the faith of Arius. In 341 a conference was held in Antioch and Monotheism was accepted as a correct interpretation of Christian faith. This view was confirmed by another Council held in Sirmium in 351.

As a result Arianism was accepted by an overwhelming majority of Christians. St. Jerome wrote in 359 that 'the whole world groaned and marveled to find itself Arian'.

In this context the next important figure is that of Pope Honorius. A contemporary of Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) he saw the rising tide of Islam whose tenets very much resembled those of Arius.

As the mutual killings of Christians was still fresh in his memory he perhaps thought of finding a via media between Islam and Christianity. In his letters he began to support the doctrine of 'one mind', because if God has three independent minds the result would be chaos.

The logical conclusion pointed to the belief in the existence of one God. This doctrine was not officially challenged for about half a century. Pope Honorius died in October 638.

In 680, i.e. 42 years after his death, a council was held in Constantinople where Pope Honorius was anathematized. This event is unique in the history of Papacy when a Pope was denounced by a succeeding Pope and the Church.

The next two personalities of this faith that deserve mention were members of the same family. L. F. M. Sozzini (1525-1565) was native of Siena. In 1547 he came under the influence of Camillo a Sicilian mystic. His fame spread in Switzerland.

He challenged Calvin on the doctrine of Trinity. He amplified the doctrine of Arius, denied the divinity of Christ and repudiated the doctrine of original sin and atonement.

The object of adoration according to him could only be the one and only one God.  He was followed by his nephew F. P. Sozzini (1539-1604). In 1562 he published a work on St. John's Gospel denying the divinity of Jesus.

In 1578 he went to Klausenburg in Transylvania whose ruler John Sigismund was against the doctrine of Trinity. Here Bishop Francis David (1510-1579) was fiercely anti-Trinitarian. This led to the formation of a sect known as Racovian Catechism.

It derives its name from Cracow in Poland. This city became the stronghold of the faith of Arius.

Among the present-day Christians a large number of men and women still believe in one God. They are not always vocal. Due to the crushing power of the Churches they cannot express themselves and there is not much communication between them.

In the end it will be of interest to quote Athanasius the champion of Trinity. He says that whenever he forced his understanding to meditate on the divinity of Jesus, his toilsome and unavailing efforts recoil on themselves, that the more he wrote the less capable was he of expressing his thoughts.

At another place he pronounces his creed as:-"There are not three but "ONE GOD".

To both Muslims and Christians who are amongst the Seekers of the Truth, you are most welcome to read about Jesus, the Prophet of Allah by visiting here. You can also do your research and studies about who Jesus really is by visiting here.

To sum it up, the present day Churches who claim to preach and profess what they attribute to Jesus @ Eesa the Son of Maryam are only pulling a fast one on the ignorant 'Christian' masses.

Living today in these Last Ages provides us with unfathomable sources of archived knowledge in the form of the worldwide web. We need to use our Faculties of Reason and Logic to seek the Truth from all authentic Scriptures of Allah and carry out our own research and studies to help us understand about who we are and our positions as true servants of Almighty Allah.

We cant just follow blindly what any Tom, Dick or Harry or in our case here in Malaysia what any Ahmad, Ah Seng or Samy is saying? As a Muslim, I rely on nothing else excet for what is revealed by Allahu Rabbi in his Glorious Al-Qur'an and the authentic Hadeeths of our beloved Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam.

Apart from that I do my own in depth fact finding and pore through all other relevant sources of knowledge that I can get access to. Join me in seeking the Truth that Allah has revealed in His Oceans of Mercy and Guidance.

May we be amongst those upon whom Allah guides to His Salvation. Ameen.

2017 ~ New challenges and goals as our world keeps changing!

New Year Resolutions
It is the 1st day of January, 2017 CE. 3rd day of Rabiul Akhir, 1438 AH.
Many of us make new resolutions, new plans and agendas to achieve and implement for this new year.

All that is good and I wish each and everyone the best with their goals. We should also learn from our life experiences before this and try our level best to avoid making the same mistakes or fall victim to the many shysters out there.

Growing Older
As we age and grow older, naturally our health conditions might be affected as our hormone production is reduced and we tend to fall sick easier. More health supplements and remedies need to be taken and whether we like it or not, we do have to exercise and try to keep fit and regain our stamina and strength.

As for me, my failing eyesight @ cataract on my left eye is starting to cloud my vision. I am getting by with improved vision of my right eye which has been operated on and replaced with an artificial lens before this. Alhamdulillah.

At being 58 years and 2 months old, I am relatively still able to live my life well although a tad affected by a few health complications but that is all part and parcel of aging. Compared to others who are bed ridden in hospitals or nursing homes, Syukur Alhamdulillah, I am doing alright.

Aspirations
I look forward to undergoing an operation to replace my cataract contracted left eye with an artificial lens preferably within the early stages of 2017 and then get a pair of corrective spectacles to see better.

I also aim to complete writing two Islamic genre Malay film scripts that I have been working on all these while and finish my guide book on becoming or being a Muslim. Insya Allah.

Hopes and Wishes
I wish to see peace reign on Earth and the oppressed people of Palestine, Iraq, Libya, Kashmir, Rohingya, Native Americans, Orang Asli's here in Malaysia and other parts of the world get their due rights back.

I hope that reforestation will take place back on the now devastated hills and forests of Pahang, Kelantan, Terengganu, Penang, Perak, Selangor, Sabah and Sarawak.

I wish to see the culprits responsible for such destruction be arrested, charged, sentenced to imprisonment and their ill gotten assets be confiscated and compensated to the people whose lives were affected by these crooks.

I also hope to see the shit stirrers and troublemakers be stripped of their state awarded titles and action be taken against them for carrying out illegal businesses and activities.

I dream of a just society where the city and local authorities are free of corrupt officials and all illegal obstructions and structures be removed from parking lots placed there by unscrupulous stall operators and their corrupt contacts in DBKL here in the Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory and State Governments everywhere.

I also hope that the Malaysian Education Ministry will reintroduce the teaching of the Civics subject to our academic schools and invitations. Our Malaysian society seriously needs to be taught the basics of common courtesies and social responsibilities once more.

There are many good instructional videos available online that can be used in such teaching. Malaysian Film producers can produce similar videos for our country and such beneficial short videos be broadcasted on television and at the cinemas before the main screening of movies.

Toilet etiquette especially those involving the usage of public restrooms must be taught to the many uncivilized idiots who still tend to squat on seated toilets and cause normal users to suffer such inconvenience of having to cover up the dirty toilet seats with toilet paper before be able to use them!

There are too many selfish idiots out there today. Racial and religious intolerance is creeping up again amongst us and we are all not that happy with this scourge that can destroy our relative peace and harmony. We can't afford or allow that to take root here in Malaysia, our beloved homeland.

I can keep going on but guess I'll just stop here and hope that 2017 will be a better year for all of us.
DYMM Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Di-Pertuan Agong ke IV,
Sultan Muhammad V
I can't predict the future as it is forbidden for Muslims to be fortune tellers, etc. but I hope that our new 15th Malaysian Supreme King, the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong, His Royal Highness Sultan Muhammad V will be a proactive, just and active ruler who will use his powers and authority to return fairness and justice to our country. Insya Allah.

Tun Dr. M's King & Commoner Issue

I am not surprised to learn of the current tiff between the Johor Sultan @ King and former 4th and most illustrious Malaysian Premier Tun Dr.Mahathir Mohamad @ Commoner with regard to the latter's recent opinions about Johor's 'Forest City' project which is said to be the threshold of the reported influx of more than 700000 PRC citizens into Malaysia!

A longstanding grudge against Tun Dr.M for removing the Malay Sultans privilege against being taken to court for their screwups when they breach the law might be the festering sore in the said royal's heart.

More later.

Tun Dr. M's King & Commoner Issue ~ My Thoughts.

Let's ponder for a while on the subject. We are witnessing a modern day power play between two top figures in our country.

One is a current ruling Sultan @ King and the other is a former Prime Minister who to date is regarded as the one who defanged the powerful 9 Kings @ Sultans of the 9 Sultanates in the Malay Peninsular.

The 9 ruling Sultans were stripped of their royal immunity from civil and criminal legal prosecution when Tun Dr.Mahathir @ the Commoner but most powerful 4th Prime Minister back then in the height of his Executive Power succeeded in getting the Malaysian Parliament to amend the country's Constitution in 1992 to ensure that no one was above the law.

Click here and here to read about it.

The Sultan of Johor back then was Sultan Mahmood Iskandar, the father of the current Sultan Ibrahim of Johor who is incensed with Tun Dr. Mahathir's airing of his views about the Forest City project turning into a viaduct for 700,00 Chinese nationals eventual buying their way into our nation through the Chinese investing in Forest City.

This also brings to my mind about the withdrawing of the National Palace's earlier invitation to Tun Dr.Mahathir Mohamad as the former 4th Malaysian Prime Minister to attend the Installation Ceremony of the 15th Supreme King of Malaysia, HRH Sultan Muhammad V of the State of Kelantan Darul Naim.

HRH Sultan Muhammad V, 15th Supreme King of Malaysia
The National Palace's invitation's withdrawal is reported to be at the behest of Sultan Muhammad V, whose father is Sultan Ismail Petra who was once taken to task by Tun Dr.Mahathir's Federal Government for the latter's refusal to pay quite a sizable sum in tax to the Royal Customs of Malaysia and drove off his Lamborghini Diablo from the Subang Airport Customs Complex!

Tun Dr.Mahathir is reported to have labelled the Sultan of Kelantan @ Sultan Ismail Petra as a 'smuggler' for the Sultan's action! HRH Sultan Muhammad V, our current 15th Supreme King surely would not let that insult to his father, slide.

Click here to read a relevant report about the matter.

Thus I am not surprised to learn of the current 15th Malaysian Supreme King's snub of Tun Dr.Mahathir from being invited to the Supreme King's Inauguration Ceremony.

Both named Sultans have a proverbial axe to grind with Tun Dr.Mahathir. Hence their Majesties not letting Tun Dr.Mahathir get away with saying anything concerning their respective states.

Tun Dr.Mahathir's previous objections against allowing the implementation of the Syariah Law system in Kelantan remains as a thorn in the Sultanate of Kelantan's side and HRH the Supreme King will not be overlooking any of Tun's comments or actions with regard to the matter.

They may be 'constitutional monarch's' according to the Constitution of Malaysia but these Malay Sultans still wield a proverbial royal powerful club to teach any 'commoner' who dares to mess with them.

Tun Dr.Mahathir's willingness to sell his soul to the 'DAP Devils' in his attempts to overthrow the current Malaysian Premier Dato Seri Najib Tun Razak and bring about an alternative government with his son to be elected as the next Prime Minister is also said to be the reason why many are not that gung ho about supporting Tun.

Even I am surprised to see Tun being there besides Lim Kit Siang and Mat Sabu! You just never know what some politicians are willing to do just to make their dreams come true!
Mat Sabu, Kit Siang, Mahathir ~ Once Bitter Enemies. Photo Source
We just can't imagine or foresee what is going to happen next as far as the current topsy turvy Malaysian politics is going to throw at us?

Today's best friend will be tomorrow's worst enemy and those who were bitter feuding enemies are practically hugging each other like long lost lovers! :P

I am no fortune teller or soothsayer but I just do not see their dreams getting realized in the coming general elections but just like Donald Trump getting elected as America's 45th President, you just never know!

As for Tun Dr.Mahathir's current situation, one can compare it to the case of the 'Durian Kings' and the 'Cucumber Commoner'.

Don't you agree?

Malaysian Socio-Political Bloggers ~ Fading away into Cyberspace

$

There used to be a time when with the advent of the Blogosphere here in Malaysia, everyone was excited about the new platform to express one's thoughts and viewpoints through the various websites and blogging platforms.

Every Ahmad, Ah Seng and Samy took to blogging like a flock of ducks plunging right in to a lake or pond after being caught out in the heat of the day!

When Tun Dr.Mahathir Mohamad lamented that he was being deprived of media coverage as a result of Tun Abdullah Badawi's gag order on him, I proposed that Tun join us as a blogger during a special dialogue with him, NGO's, politicians and gathering of bloggers organized by Malaysia Today's Raja Petra Kamarudin at the Kelab Century Paradise way back on the 24th of June, 2006! Click here and read my article on it.

Tun did eventually launch his own blog @ chedet.cc and to this day continues to voice out as he pleases. As we all know, Tun Mahathir is now being ostracised by the current PM Najib Razak for Tun's campaign to unseat him due to the various scandals and screwups that Tun Razak's son is accused of.

We surely agree with Tun but as it is, our current situation is frankly quite taxing in all ways due to this indifferent leader who doesn't really give a damn about whatever anyone is saying more so when his chief political nemesis happens to be our former 4th and longest in office (22 years) Premier Tun Dr.Mahathir Mohamad!

Way back then; it's been more than 10 years now, our Malaysian cyberspace was abuzz with all kinds of bloggers who published, wrote and commented upon the latest news and views related to the social and political happenings in Malaysia.
RPK and Mahaguru58[R]
Some of Malaysia's notable bloggers such as Raja Petra Kamaruddin or RPK as he is known, Rocky Bru, Big Dog, A Voice, Kadir Jasin,Sang Kelembai, Parpukari, Papagomo, RBF, Din Turtle,Penarik Beca, Roslan SMS and many others are in reality sort of getting tired of blogging due to the 'tidak-apathy' mindset of our crooked powers that be.

What's the point of wasting one's precious quality time, research and effort in trying to improve our life here in Bolehland when the crooked ones who are gleefully feathering their nests at the nation's expense simply say 'Boleh Mampus' to whoever dares to criticize or castigate them via blogs and websites like mine here?

Some cabinet ministers even show their vulgar gestures to the media without any hesitation. Check out the Minister for Culture and Tourism here.

How's that as an unbridled form of social misbehavior from someone appointed to instill and preserve our traditional Malaysian norms and values?

Mahaguru58 [right] with Dato A.Kadir Jasin
Malaysian Socio-Political bloggers are usually middle aged or elderly like me who feel it is our social and civic responsibility as concerned citizens to watch out for our rights and hold the powers that be accountable if they screw up and try to pull a fast one on us.

The problem is that many are getting disillusioned by the various stifling measures meant to gag us. So many bloggers have chosen to not bother to keep their blogs alive.

Some are still active but quite a few have not updated or simply abandoned their blogs preferring to engage in chit chat over Facebook or Twitter. What a bloody shame!

Check out the links to various blogs at Tranung Kite and see for yourselves. The fire in most bloggers has sort of fizzled out.

To be a blogger, one has to master the skill of composing words, have a dab of webmaster know how, graphic editing, digital photography and learn how to embed videos or linking to other online sources and urls.

That knowledge and various cyberskills comes with experience and the blogger must have passion for what he or she does. Any Tom, Dick or Harry can be a Facebooker but it takes dedication and commitment to be and remain active as a Blogger!

To be continued.

Malay - Muslim Identity caught between Arabization, Modern Secularism & Traditional Heritage?

Day before yesterday, I happened to be at the Hospital Kuala Lumpur to give my blood samples prior to my scheduled left eye cataract surgery mid March @ next month.

There were three Malay guys seated at a table opposite me and there was this chap in his 50's sort of preaching loudly to his table mates about how he hates people here in Malaysia who sport kopiah's @ skull caps to show that they are Muslims!

The noisy fella was sporting a baseball cap and looked like one of those 'men's tonic' peddlers you'd see around Chow Kit Road sidewalks.

Sample image of a sidewalk peddler

I don't know whether the idiot was referring to me but I just ignored him and continued with having my light breakfast after having given my first blood sample to the Pathology Lab (after refraining from food or drinks from the night before).

I couldn't get distracted or into an unnecessary argument with a dumb-ass like that for I would need to go give my blood sample again after having my meal.

I know that if I responded or interjected to that brash talking loudmouth @ false prophet, it would be akin to the proverbial 'wrestling with the swine' scenario.

So, I just kept my cool and after my meal, returned to wait at the Pathology Lab. Sometimes, when we have more important matters to settle, it is better to just walk away from dealing with persons like that! We gain nothing but heart ache dealing with such kind.

In the Qur'an Surah Al-Hujurat Chapter 49 Verse 11, Allah Azza Wa Jalla reminds us :

"O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after [one's] faith. And whoever does not repent - then it is those who are the wrongdoers."

We have to admit that nowadays more and more Malays here in Malaysia tend to dress up looking like Arabs or Middle Eastern folks. There is no law prohibiting such adaptations or trends but in the long run, we might lose track of our time honored traditions and cultural heritage.

It is enjoined and permissible for Muslims to adopt the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam but it is discouraged for us who believe in Allah and His Messenger to imitate the norms and cultures of the Kaffirs @ Disbelievers in their customs and ways that have links to their Kufr @ Disbelief towards Allah the Almighty.

Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam clearly stated that it is forbidden to blindly imitate Non-Muslims. In one hadith, he over emphasized how blindly some Muslims will imitate [others] no matter how hard it may be.

The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam said, "You will surely follow the ways, steps, or traditions of those who came before you, span by span and yard by yard (very closely) even if they entered into a lizard's hole you will enter it.

The Sahabah's asked, "O Prophet, you mean the Jews and Christians?"He replied, "Who else!?" [Reported by Imam Bukhari]

In another hadith, he clearly prohibited imitation stating, "If one imitates another nation or people, he will be from them." [Reported by Imam Abu-Dawud]

So, in this case @ of Malays imitating the Arabs or Middle Eastern traditions, there is no prohibition as per our Islamic teachings but culturally, we might in a way see an erosion of our time honored Malay heritage that has it's own values and civilization which has been respected and honored by the learned scholars and historians of the world.

Personally as an Indian Muslim, I know nothing of what my forefathers traditions but from my research on the subject saw that they followed the usual dressing style of South Indians which were the wearing of the Sarong Pelikat and a shirt similar to what we now know as 'business shirt'. Indian Muslim men wore a cap similar to what we call here as the Songkok but over in India they have those that are made of wool pr sheepskin.

When I was a small boy growing up in a Malay kampong @ village back in Penang during the 60s, I usually wore sort pants and a short-sleeved shirt. There was no T shirts back then. :P I wore a pair of rubber soled slippers @ Japanese slippers. That was about it.

On Fridays, I would wear my Sarong Pelikat and a shirt to go to the Jelutong Masjid @ which was several villages away. On Hari Raya @ Eidul Fitri and Eidul Adha, I would wear my Baju Melayu but without the Kain Samping as we couldn't afford that.

Life was simpler back then and no one batted an eyelid or ridiculed us who were quite poor and couldn't afford to dress well like others. I just lived my simple life for I was happy enough with what bare necessities that I had back then.

If you want to have an idea of how the Malays lived in the 1960's just watch the old P.Ramlee black & white movies to see for yourselves the way people dressed and behaved?

I remember that back in the 60s, the Malays weren't that religious. I mean the general population. We all know that alcohol is haram @ forbidden in our faith but back then there were the adults in my kampong who used to drink beer [albeit] not in front of the kampong people openly but out of the view of the villagers.

In fact there was even ads in Malay promoting the drinking of Guinness Stout! See it here :

Don't tell me that we did not have Mufti's or the Sultans or the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong's back then? They were and still are the 'Heads of Islam' over their respective Malay Sultanates and the Federation as in the case of our Supreme King @ the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong.

Now, why did such advertisements get published or screened in our cinemas back then? Why was there no brouhaha over these 'Guinness Stout' is good for us commercials in those days? Anyone reading this able to share with us the reasons?

I remember seeing a news photo that shows our former 5th Premier handling what seems to be a bottle of alcohol if I am not mistaken. This blog clearly shows many of our notables today indulging what is clearly forbidden in our Islamic faith. I guess we can call it the Age of Ignorance of those concerned. That is part and parcel of life.

Even in our religious history before the revelation of the Quranic verses prohibiting the consumption of alcohol, we learned that the people in Makkah and Madinah who were the Kaffirs amongst the Quraysh used to drink alcohol and when they became Muslims smashed the barrels of beer and poured such liquor down the streets obeying the commandments of Allah Azza Wa Jalla.

They ask you about wine and gambling. Say, "In them is great sin and [yet, some] benefit for people. But their sin is greater than their benefit." And they ask you what they should spend. Say, "The excess [beyond needs]." Thus Allah makes clear to you the verses [of revelation] that you might give thought.

Make no mistake. Everyone screws up in our lives. We can't claim to be infallible. Verily it is Allah Who Chooses to Forgive and to Cleanse us of our sins. We can't say that we are sinless. Our prayers are minuscule if compared to the Oceans of Mercy that our Supreme Creator showers upon us. Only by Allah's Mercy can any of us escape the Fires of Hell. Insya Allah.

The Malays in Malaysia first started to become religious with the advent of the once highly successful and quite influential Dakwah @ Islamic Religious Missionary organisation called Al-Arqam. I wrote about this group in my blog here about 10 years ago.

From a society that was somewhat steeped in trying to ape the West and indulged in unIslamic cultures and customs, the advent of the Al Arqam Islamic religious sect under the leadership of Ustaz Ashaari Muhammad sparked a transformation amongst the Malays first in Damansara, Kuala Lumpur and then from their base at Kampong Sg.Penchala, Kuala Lumpur.

The women followers of Al Arqam wore very modest attire such as loose flowing robes and the lengthy Jilbab @ Hijab and completed covering their faces with a Niqab @ face veil. This was the start of the trend for the Malay women here in Malaysia to actually start complying with Allah's Commandment for Believing Women to cover their areas of modesty as per the revelation in Chapter 24 Surah An Nur Verse 31:

When the group was banned by the Malaysian Government, the Al-Arqam women morphed into wearing more colorful attire to merge with the public. Here is one of their all female Nasyid group @ Mawaddah performing before the Raja and Sultanah of Perlis:

Before the coming of the Al Arqam group, the Malay womenfolk did not practice the wearing of the Hijab which was the head cover worn over their head, covering their hair and also their bosom.

They just wore a shawl @ selendang (shown above) which seldom covered their chests or hair. Here are some photos of the past showing how they were:

You can say that it was an abrupt change or makeover for the way Malays here in Malaysia were in a subtle way forced to go with the flow of how a new sense of religious awareness started to spread and influence their usually easy going lifestyle.

To get a glimpse of what happened to the Al-Arqam movement after it was banned, watch this documentary on them by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation:

Al-Arqam came into our Malaysian Muslims lives as a shining guiding beacon but as it grew in size and influence, empirical dreams and lust seeped into the hearts and minds of its founders leading them to their own ruin.

What a shame!

Let's move back to the way life was here for the general Malay population just after Independence from the British Colonials. P. Ramlee sort of immortalized that period of ignorance in his many classic films.

Malays back then didn't shy away from frequenting the nightclubs and bars or cabarets. Here's a few clips from his films documenting that kind of unIslamic tendencies.

Everybody knows that even in the uniformed services there were still continued traditions of the British Colonial Administration of adjourning to the Officers Mess for a round of drinks @ hard liquor and beer in a spirit of camaraderie amongst the troops.

I managed to find an old photo showing several Malay officers having cold beer at their Officers Mess at Port Dickson back in those days. I have hidden their identities for obvious reasons.

Not to say that there aren't any similar ignorance nowadays but if there are, we won't see it plastered all over social media. To each their own, eh!

So, in a way the presence of Al Arqam was the turning point in the lives of Malaysian Muslims. Our time honored traditions of dressing and attitudes did in a way shift towards practicing cultures and traditions usually found in the Middle East. As Muslims we are enjoined to follow in the ways of our Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam but we are also allowed to live as per our traditions which are not contrary to our Islamic faith.

There is a growing trend nowadays for Malays to dress up in modern jubah's @ robes that have a touch of Malaysian creativity in it. Check these out:

If you ask me, the attire worn by these young Malay Muslims are just a passing trend. The designers out there are just taking advantage of the current Malaysian Muslims inclination towards adopting the Middle Eastern robes but with their own interpretations. That's all.

It's just an external expression. As long as they are covering their modesty and behaving appropriately in accordance with what Islam demands of us who are Muslims, it's alright with us.

We should also realize that there are also those amongst the Malays who are striving to preserve and bring back the glory days of Malay traditional wear and a renaissance of the true Malay identity.

I am friends with the founders of this movement called Komuniti Keris Warisan who have renamed it to Alam Melayu

One of the founders is Johan Iskandar a.k.a. Nakhoda Hitam. I interviewed him at Dataran Underground below Dataran Merdeka where Johan and his group were holding a Malay Heritage exposition then. I highlighted them here.

Watch this too:

So, it is not right to say that the Malays are turning into Arab wannabes for as long as there are traditionalists like Johan Iskandar, Peniup Serunai, Pusaka Warisan Bangsa, Faizal Langsay, Faliq Faizal and others propagating their Malay Heritage to survive in this ever changing world of ours, the Malays will continue to be just that!

As legendary Malacca Warrior Admiral Datuk Laksamana Hang Tuah once said
'Takkan Melayu hilang di dunia!' Meaning that the Malays will never disappear from this Earth!

Lee Kuan Yew's fortitude & mastery ~ Will we ever see such a leader emerge here in Malaysia?

For someone like me who misses such a dynamic strong leadership like that shown by our nation builder as in the person of Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad and Singapore's founding Father the late esteemed Lee Kuan Yew, getting to watch such exhilarating videos such as this reminds me how we really need to raise and nurture strong, dynamic citizens capable of leading our beloved country to it's deserved position as one of this region's most progressive nation as what we were promised by Tun Dr. Mahathir's Vision 2020!

The way Lee Kuan Yew stands his ground and defend his Singapore Government's decision to put troublesome and meddling 'offshore' American press such as the 'Asian Wall Street Journal' in its place, truly ought to be made as a benchmark of political science reference material.

I do not see that many current so called leaders here in Malaysia possess such fine leadership qualities such as what our Tun Dr. Mahathir and Singapore's Lee Kuan Yew possess.

Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad and Lee Kuan Yew
Only true statesmen like our two countries @ Singapore and Malaysia illustrious nation builders in the form of Lee Kuan Yew and Tun Dr. Mahathir qualify to be recognized as such.

Our current blemished leaders pale in comparison to such fine politicians. Yes, they were labeled as dictators, strongmen and such but look at what they did for both Singapore and Malaysia compared to what our nations were back in the days of the British Colonial era and before that?

Malaya and Singapore were then pillaged and looted of its riches and were mere vassals of the British Colonial Empire. Singapore had nothing to speak of in terms of natural minerals or even petroleum back then.

Lee Kuan Yew turned that once stinking marshland and polluted port into being one of this region's leading economies! We were once known as a 3rd world agricultural backwater.

Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad through his firm and dynamic leadership turned Malaysia into what it is now, a strong emerging industrialized nation but the current leader made us infamous with the scandalous 1MDB case which he is accused of playing the main part. I don't think that case will get settled within my lifetime.

Strong leaders like Lee Kuan Yew and Tun Dr. Mahathir are rare and quite hard to come by. Our country's aspiring politicians ought to study and emulate these great icons struggle in turning both Singapore and Malaysia around.

I have yet to come across any Medical doctors here in Malaysia who would be so willing to update me about my health conditions and what to expect from the medical treatments and procedures here in Malaysia!

None.

You would be extremely lucky if the doctors here would even spend a few minutes to brief you in as detailed a manner as you find the medical professionals do in the video above.

Why?

I think that our doctors here assume that their patients wouldn't know a thing about what they are suffering from and that even if they did try to explain to you they would do so in a very condescending manner.

They would think that patients here are clueless and ignorant. Well, I beg to differ. This is a very well informed patient. Yes sirree!

I do study a lot about what I am suffering from and what I can expect from the way I am treated here in our Malaysian health services.

To be continued.

Life
With a cry we are born into this life,
From being a child you are now my wife,
Through the years together we strive,
With our love against all odds we'll thrive..

Being together through all the violent storms
At time's we find it so hard to conform,
When others dictate to us on how to live,
They're always taking..we're prone to give..

No matter how much we've to endure,
My darling wife ,don't fret there'll be a cure,
What goes around comes around,
Do not despair ..stand your ground

Think positive,always feel good,
Never ever be like deadwood,
Life is short so make it sweet,
In paradise..God willing,we shall meet.

Our hair might turn grey and fall away,
But the love we have will never sway.

Our joints may ache and not be as strong as it used to be,
But our bonds of love will forever be sealed eternally.

As we live blissfully together through all these years,
We have come to know that together we face no fears.

Thank you my darling for being my wonderful wife,
Without you by my side, I'd have given up on this life!

Happy 15th blissful Wedding Anniversary Sweetheart!
